Winter Vaccinations
Posted or Updated on 27 Nov 2024
RSV
We are currently rolling out vaccinations against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) – a virus that results in thousands of hospitalisations each year primarily in babies and older populations. This is a new vaccination developed to provide protection against RSV and so we are currently offering the vaccination to a number of eligible patients.
Eligible Patients:
- Pregnant mothers – vaccination issued after 28 weeks
- Adults aged 75 -79
This is, currently, a once in a lifetime vaccination for adults, and for each pregnancy for pregnant mothers. The vaccine is not seasonal and will be available all year-round.
