Hospital Referrals

From 11th September 2026

Patients who are referred by their GP to hospital through e-RS will now receive two automated updates:  one confirmation that the referral has been received and is being processed, followed by confirmation when the receiving provider has accepted it.  This will give patients more reassurance at the start of their referral journey.
